The POWER is YOU!

I hope you enjoy this motivational video as much as I did, Inspiring you to get your Power ‘Back on Top’ even when you are in the depths.

Having just returned from a fantastic 3 week summer vacation, I feel more energized and powerful than in a long, long time.

* I live and breathe H A R M O N Y
* I love, love, LOVE my life!
* I am so G R A T E F U L for each and every day!

Through many years of practice, I've found tools that quickly help me to regain my POWER, no matter the situation. Do you know how to get Your Power Back on Top? If not, take a look at this video and get inspired.

Tip 1: If you own Angel or Archangel Oracle Cards make a habit of taking one card each day, it helps you to stay focused and calm in the midst of turmoil.
Tip 2: Find a nice and relaxing space and write in your diary or notebook. If you don't have one take a peace of paper. Write whatever comes into your mind.  Pour every thought, worry, hope, wish, gratefulness down - notice how relieved and light you feel afterwards.
Tip 3: Make a habit of saying an affirmation or mantra every day - you know what I mean.
Tip 4: Visualize your dream(s) several times during the day, in the morning, during lunch and before you go to bed - as already happened.

"The Force, as always, is with You and in You"

The Power of Intuition - a magnificent tool

A few months ago I attended a very inspiring International Womens Workshop in Copenhagen, Denmark. I was thinking of entering this competition they arranged, which is quite unusual of me. In a split of a second I heard this voice inside of my head saying; "Come on you never win anything! Don't bother, why would you win? Imagine how many people enter the competition, you will not stand a chance!" Ever heard little voices like these stopping you from following your initial thought, and making you take a step back? I have.

I've said it many times, yet I can't emphasize it enough - please, please TRUST YOUR GUT FEELING! Your intuition is speaking to you all the time.

I simply disregarded the "doubter" and decided that I wanted to give it a go anyway. I set my goal and promised myself that if I was to enter the competition, I wanted to win. I made a mental picture of how I would feel having won - the picture I saw in front of me felt very vivid and real. I said a silent Thank You and continued working. Unfortunately I had to leave the workshop early, so I never saw the price ceremony. On Monday, upon my return there was a package on my table. I knew instantly what it was...YES!! I had won! I had won!!! Now, do you understand the power of your intuition?

The book I won is called What Happy Working Mothers Know written by Cathy L. Greenberg and Barrett S. Avigdor. The book couldn't have arrived at a better time. Being a mother to a lovely 3 year old boy and having a career at the same time has its challenges. It's an everyday puzzle to get the practicalities together, however, I feel privileged and grateful for every day.

What Happy Working Mothers Know is a book for any woman (or a man) who is keen to learn more about positive psychology that can lead to a healthy and happy working/life balance. But it is also a very practical book for anyone who's struggling with guilt, finding time for family, friends, exercise, you name it, at the same time as you pursue a career. Do not let the title mislead you...this book is for anyone who wants more happiness in life.

Next time you hear voices that discourage you, please stop for a moment and reflect on it. What is your internal GPS trying to tell you? The more you listen and practice the easier you will recognize the guidance.

Have a great summer!

Do something spontaneous

I recently returned from an amazing and very energizing 4-day trip to the Netherlands, visiting my sister and her family. I had totally forgotten how much I  E N J O Y making spontaneous trips.

Despite having spent 8 hours in a car and 1 hour on a ferry (one way), we simply loved it. Even our 3 year old son was excited. Ensuring a relaxed and comfortable journey we were well prepared - with toys, books, DVD's, puzzles, drawing blocks, food, water and nice little surprises. Invaluable family time!!!

It is so easy to lose sight of our priorities when our careers demand so much of us. We want to have a fulfilling life, and at the same time also have room for friends, family, travel, exercise, golf, tennis etc. (I could go on and on)...resulting in exhaustion of trying to compete with the clock and our needs  & wants. Without noticing we soon find us taking our family and loved ones for granted. When do we stop and wake up? And when do we realize that we have everything within our reach already?

Time is relative. By setting aside time for ourselves, our children, our spouse and family, we’ll strengthen both our own emotional well-being and our family's beliefs that they are loved, appreciated and cherished.

Today, I'd like to invite YOU to do something special and spontaneous, with as little planning as possible. Whatever it is enjoy and embrace it. And remember to make B A L A N C E  a priority!!!

If necessary - forgive, forget and move forward - it's the key to abundance.

L E A P into a new tomorrow

We are living in a world, where old habits, patterns, and beliefs no longer serve us. N E W ways of thinking pave the way stronger than ever - a gateway towards living more authentically and from a place of constant choices has opened up for us.

The change YOU are going through might not be the same as I am going through. We are all experiencing a shift yet this might occur in very different ways. Some of you might feel it very clearly in your physical body, i.e, as headache, backache, chest pain etc. Whereas others might feel it on a mental or a spiritual level. One thing is for certain, there is no turning back!!! We are ALL accessing this new dimension of consciousness and a world of brand new possibilities.

Our emotional body, physical body, mental body, astral body and etheric body (what ever you want to call it) - EVERYTHING IS CHANGING. You might be feeling that you do not fit in anywhere, maybe you are overwhelmed by not having a clear direction and do not understand what's happening or where you are going, and this might be very frustrating. Personally, I feel like I am waiting for something, but don't know exactly what and I can't put my finger on it either. Not to worry. This will pass.

Everyone, I mean EVERYONE is going through a shift. The world is changing. Volcanic eruptions in Iceland, volatile stock markets in Europe and U.S. - just follow the news. Those who try to clench with the old will have a tough time... a huge opportunity and gateway has opened up for us. I am ready to accept and embrace the changes happening on both the inside and the outside, and taking a
L E A P into a new tomorrow. What about you?

As Neale Donald Walsch so beautifully puts it...

"A totally different you can emerge from a totally
different idea that you have about yourself. All it takes
is a decision to change your mind about
Who You Are and why you are here..."

Perspective is everything.
What would it take to elevate your awareness on this day?
Whatever it would take, do that.
Don't just think about it.
Do it."

With joy!

Change Tip

  1. Realize how powerful your thoughts are and start empowering the beliefs that serve you. What beliefs support you towards meeting what you most desire in life?
  2. Notice where you put your energy on during the day and find ways to get your power back. What actions do you take in your life that energize and fill you up? Make these a priority.
  3. Start taking aligned actions with the new beliefs.

Harnessing intuition to achieve career goals

Have you ever wondered how come some people always seem to make the right business choices, right career decisions, and land the perfect job?

What do I mean?

Intuition is a flash of sight or a gut feeling that guides our decisions, i.e., comprehension without effort of reasoning, simply instinctive knowledge. You could say that it is the state of being aware of or knowing something without having to discover or perceive this.

Unfortunately, we too often dismiss it simply as a "hunch" or a "dream" and therefore as untrustworthy. Don’t let your intellect block your instincts = Don’t talk yourself out of something you feel.

Everything around us is Energy. All our thoughts are Energy!
The most precious gift we as humans possess is our intuition or life-force. When we start using this unimaginable potential - we can tap into a flow that is limitless and far beyond our imagination.  It can easily be taught, however, learning to trust our intuition can take several years even for experienced practitioners.

Judith Orloff MD, UCLA psychiatrist and author of Second Sight offers four tips for harnessing intuition to achieve career goals:

1. Obey body signals. When your stomach clenches up seemingly for no reason. Or you're anxiety level increases when asked to take on a new task or job. Your body is telling you something important. Listen to these subtle urges and hints.

2. Pay attention to dreams. Our dreams often tell us, usually in symbolic code, what's happening in our lives. Keep a notebook and pen by your bed so you can write down your dreams when you get up in the morning.

3. Coincidences can be meaningful. Sometimes life presents moments of clarity in the form of coincidences. These can be powerful teaching moments. For example, maybe you've been thinking about changing jobs when you suddenly bump into a friend you haven't seen for years, who tells you about a dream job that's opening up. Don't let such precious opportunities pass you by. Such synchronous events are signals that you are in the right place at the right time, or that you need to stop and pay close attention to what is in front of you.

4. Tune into intuitive empathy. This occurs when you "pick up a vibe" from another person. For no apparent reason, you suddenly feel hostility coming from a coworker, or you sense that your boss is hiding something. "This innate sense that we all have can be fine-tuned by becoming aware of it."

I strongly believe, that the more we listen to our internal guidance...the more we will build a relationship with our true power. You do not need to have a Ph.D or a University degree. We are all born with this gift, the question is:

* DO YOU LISTEN?

* DO YOU FOLLOW THE GUIDANCE?
* DO YOU TRUST IT?

To your career success!

The Spirit of Abundance

 The Spirit of Abundance

I rarely fall for blogs, but I must say that I've fallen head over heals for The Spirit of Abundance blog, which I've followed for almost a year now. It is so beautiful and serene, with inspiration for anyone who loves white and shabby chic interior (like myself). You can find links to over 100 inspiring blogs, webshops and other interor pages - from all over the world. It has already become a habit of mine to always listen to the music while reading the blog.

Before checking out remember to read Nona's "Ultimate Dream and Vision" further down on the page, on the right hand side - isn't it inspiring!! Spring is such a perfect time to visualize and manifest your dreams. If you are up for a challenge...I'd like you to join me in writing your own Ultimate Dream. Who knows, maybe I'll even share mine with you at some point.

Dream big and dream bold!

7 steps towards Embracing Change

I am amazed by children and their ability to adapt to new situations. Children have a wonderful curiosity and openness towards life. They know intuitively that change cannot be avoided - thus there is no point in resisting it - much easier to embrace it. If children would give up when the going gets tough, they would never learn to crawl, walk, write or speak. Adults have the same gift, but somehow along the way we've lost it. Change can be scary and difficult at times, but nonetheless the fact of change is real, and very present. So my gift to you today is 7 simple steps towards embracing change. Enjoy!

1. Know that change begins within. Your life will begin to improve the minute you take action to improve it. Don't let the changes get you down, but lift you up, and move past them.

2. You are what you listen to. Invite joyful music into your life - it makes all the difference. Make happy playlists on your MP3 player, and make sure to listen to at least one of them everyday. Turn the TV off and play music that makes you feel happy - you will be amazed at how it can change the energy of your entire household.

3. Deposit into your self esteem account. People either fuel you or drain you. So choose wisely whom you spend time with. Surround yourself daily with people who deposit into you, don’t be around people who drain you and make constant withdrawals. You know who these people are in your life. If you find it difficult to say no or constantly give in although your gut feeling (same as intuition or internal GPS) tells you that it's wrong, remember that you only need to be true to yourself. It's your life, it's your decision.

4. Look for solutions not problems. We get what we focus on! So focus on the good and positive things - start practicing gratitude - be grateful for your life and everything you have in it. Practice gratitude by writing 50 things that you are grateful for everyday (for 1 month). Notice the difference. Once you start to practice gratitude on a daily basis, you will notice how your thinking changes the way you feel and think - positive things just seem coming your way - with very little effort. If something is not going the way you want it to be, then STOP and take time to reflect what it is that you still need to work on. Every experience is a blessing and a gift. Thus be grateful and open. The solution may come in a different way than you expect.

5. Become your own best friend. Treat yourself the way you treat others - especially the way you treat your best friend. Look after your body, your health and your mind. After all you get what you put up with - you deserve to be treated well and it all starts with YOU.

6. Know there is a huge difference between existing & really living. How do you choose to live? Existing is hard and slow. If you want to put the spark back in your life do what’s necessary. Exercise, eat healthy, meditate, travel to exotic places, take on a new hobby, or change career - whatever makes you feel alive. Live as if you only have a month left on this planet. How much are you ready to invest?

7. Embrace the Abundance mentality. Give yourself credit for all your accomplishments each day. Dwell on the joy of your child's achievements, your own success and your dreams, whatever they are. Let go of the guilt so that you can thrive. Remember, you are a great mother, father, spouse, lover, employee, and friend.

Growth means change and change involves risk, stepping from the known to the unknown.

Find your own Truth

The beauty of a quote is that it makes you think, I mean...REALLY THINK and REFLECT OVER. Take for instance my favorite belief quote, which is full of wisdom and truth...

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” - Buddah

Isn't it fantastic? I simply love it. For me this seems so natural, since I was raised to always believe in myself, to follow my intuition and find my own truth, whatever it may be - so thank you mom. It hasn't always been easy, there have been many times when I've questioned myself and my decisions, however, that's the beauty of this quote - to find your own truth. I hope one day to be able to pass this gift over to my own son.

Wishing you ALL a lovely week!

Success

Today I stumbled over this BEAUTIFUL and THOUGHT EVOKING poem about success that I want to share with you. I have read and re-read it several times, yet every time I see something new. Different images and situations from my life path turn up - both positive, negative and neutral. This poem brings up a lot of old "stuff" that I had forgotten and my subconscious is working on full steam. Questions like...

* What does success mean?
* What's failure?
* Who believes and supports me?
* What did I succeed by being determined?
* How important is faith and belief?
* What does being strong mean?
* Do I feel successful?

Maybe this poem has no impact on you, but I invite you to read it again, and again, and see what comes up. Enjoy!

The road to success is not Straight.
There is a curve called Failure,
a loop called Confusion,
speed bumps called Friends,
red lights called Enemies, and
caution lights called Family
But if you have a spare called Determination,
an engine called Perseverance,
insurance called Faith, and
a driver called Strength,
you will make it to a place called Success!!

Change is the law of life

Spring is on its way, and like most people, I love this time of the year. It feels like a new beginning, a new start, a new birth. Spring is also a powerful time to set sail for something new.

Think about it, change is inevitable. At this very moment, for instance, your body and cells are changing. The environmental shifts, economic turbulence, technology and even how we do business and communicate is changing.

When you were born, you were given a gift - a privileged access to a world of choices. It is up to you to decide what you choose to do with this gift. You can choose to resist the changes that are always happening, or you could choose to cooperate with change, adapt to change, and benefit from change.

When you consciously embrace change as a natural and inevitable part of life, and align your focus towards what is positive, rather than negative, you can reach levels that you never thought was possible. Moreover, you will experience change as an opportunity for growth and new experiences.

To help embrace change, ask yourself the following questions:

* What's changing in my life that I am currently resisting?
* Why am I resisting that change?
* What am I afraid of with respect to this change?
* What benefits might there be in this change?
* What would I have to do to cooperate with this change?
* What is the next step I could take to cooperate with this change?
* When will I take it?

No matter how small or big the change is, just go for it! People who appreciate and embrace change as a universal law of life tend to be more prosperous and happy.

To your growth!
